Pat joined Spinella Owirigs & Shaia in 2003. Prior to Spinella, he worked as a corporate attorney, representing hospitals and other healthcare providers, with the former firm of Crews & Hancock. He specialized in medical collections and civil litigation. In recent years, he has significantly increased his representation of healthcare providers in pursuing balances owed by patients and insurer. He has significant experience in collecting medical provider balances in workers' compensation cases, as well as, obtaining balances owed by healthcare insurers.

Before entering the University of Richmond for law school, Pat spent 10 years with West Publishing Company in various sales, marketing and editorial positions. His work experience also includes two (2) years as an enlisted man in the U.S. Army.

Pat earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota where he graduated cum laude. He received his J.D., cam laude, from the University of Richmond, T. C. Williams School of Law where he was a member of the McNeil Law Society and Moot Court Board.
